BACKGROUND
In early 2025, anticipating the executive order announcing the intent to withdraw the U.S. from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Health for US campaign was launched to demonstrate the positive value of the WHO to the U.S. Working alongside 72 U.S. research centers and in more than 150 nations worldwide, WHO—an organization that we helped to establish nearly 80 years ago—continues to serve as a dedicated partner in American public health and health security.
THE___STORY
This reel was created for publication on July 4 to illustrate the longstanding roots of the WHO in America's psyche and how the organization reaches all those in need—from middle America to midtown Manhattan. The piece utilizes a strategic clip of John F. Kennedy that contradicts his lineage in the public eye in 2025. It amassed over 23K views on Meta platforms and caught the eye of WHO itself.
Health for US continues to mobilize powerful commercial and voluntary organizations to make the case for America’s continued participation in this essential organization.
